About this Year 4 place value quiz
This free Year 4 place value quiz helps students practise the number skills in the Australian Curriculum for Year 4. Students find the value of a digit, read and write numbers in words and numerals, and partition and regroup numbers into tens of thousands in standard and non-standard ways. They order four-digit numbers, add 1,000 to a five-digit number, and round to the nearest hundred and thousand. Strong place value understanding makes adding, subtracting and estimating much easier, and every question includes an explanation that shows students how to think about each digit.
