About this Year 3 fractions quiz
This free Year 3 fractions quiz introduces the fraction ideas in the Australian Curriculum for Year 3. Students work with unit fractions such as one half, one quarter, one third and one fifth, learn why the parts of a whole must be equal, and compare unit fractions by thinking about the size of each piece. They also count unit fractions to make a complete whole, such as four quarters or five fifths, and share small collections equally. Every question has a simple explanation in kid-friendly language, so children build a strong understanding of fractions before moving on to equivalent fractions.
